Chiropractic is a health care profession that focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system, and the effects of these disorders on general health. Chiropractic care is used most often to treat neuromusculoskeletal complaints, including but not limited to back pain, neck pain, pain in the joints of the arms or legs, and headaches.

An adjustment does 2 things:

  1. Physically loosens up the bones in the spine to allow greater movement
  2. Gives proprioceptive input to the central nervous system which helps the body to better take care of itself.

The only thing that happens is you get to feel what a more ideal range of motion feels like. Then you are more aware of your body and you notice when things aren’t working right and you want to get them fixed.

Absolutely not. It should never hurt.

The only time it may be uncomfortable is if the muscles in the area being adjusted are overly tight, and in that case we would try to loosen those muscles before attempting the adjustment.

We are trained to deal with any type of musculoskeletal problem, from headaches, sports injuries, prenatal care, and carpal tunnel syndrome, joint pain like rotator cuff or frozen shoulder and rehabilitation from any type of injury.

A woman’s body goes through many changes during and after pregnancy. The added weight to the abdominal area causes many postural problems as well as back pain. Chiropractic care can help with the pain without the use of any medications and help prepare the body for an easier delivery.

Currently chiropractic care is covered, at least partially, by most insurance companies.

If a patient needs to pay cash the treatments are the least expensive of any medical treatments and payment plans can be made.

Absolutely.

Children respond great to chiropractic care. It has been shown that children who get regular chiropractic treatments are sick less and are generally healthier.
